Which pitchers on the free agent market have the best pitches? The best pitchers in nine different pitches.
MLB.com, the official website of Major League Baseball, announced on Sunday the top pitchers in free agency, excluding the already-signed Aaron Nola.레모나토토 주소
First up, Jordan Hicks was named the pitcher with the best four-seam fastball. Hicks’ four-seam fastball tops out at a whopping 100.3 mph. That’s about 161.5 kilometers.
Josh Hader’s sinker, which averaged 96.1 mph, was rated the best sinker. He held batters to just .190 with his sinker and induced 48 strikeouts.
Eduardo Rodriguez’s cut fastball, Blake Snell’s slider, and Sonny Gray’s sweeper rounded out the top pitches for making hitters miss.
Snell’s slider averaged 88.4 mph and produced a .143 batting average. It’s no exaggeration to say that the slider earned Snell his second Cy Young Award.
Gray’s deciding pitch, the sweeper, struck out 108 batters this season and held opponents to a .093 BABIP, notably not allowing a single home run.
Also on the list is Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who made the leap to the major leagues after evaluating Japanese professional baseball. Yoshinobu’s curveball had incredible spin and drop.
Marcus Stroman’s slurve is also considered one of the best, and Lucas Giolito’s changeup is considered the best.

Then there’s Shohei Ohtani, who won’t be pitching in 2024, but whose splitter is considered one of the best in the majors.
Not only did his splitter produce a 0.103 ERA, but it also generated a nearly 5% swinging strike rate. His splitter accounted for more than half of his strikeouts.
