PSG and AC Milan are 1-1-1 against each other in the group stage, but PSG has the edge in head-to-head goal difference (PSG +2, Milan -2). Newcastle finished last in the group with five points.

With all of the teams in the Round of 16 confirmed today, Spain was the most represented country. Four teams – Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Real Sociedad – qualified for the round of 16 with a 100% record.

In England, only two teams, Arsenal and Manchester City, made it past the group stage, while Manchester United and Newcastle both finished fourth in their groups and missed out on the Europa League.

The German Bundesliga saw Bayern Munich, Dortmund and Leipzig reach the round of 16, while in Italy, three teams – Inter Milan, Lazio and Napoli – survived the group stage.

Copenhagen (Denmark), Paris Saint-Germain (France), Porto (Portugal), and PSV Eindhoven (Netherlands) joined them in the round of 16.

The draw for the round of 16 tournament will take place in Nyon, Switzerland, on April 18th local time.

Port 1 (first place in each group) includes Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Dortmund, Real Madrid, and Real Sociedad, while Port 2 (second place) includes Copenhagen, Inter Milan, Lazio, Leipzig, Napoli, Paris Saint-Germain, Porto, and Eindhoven.

However, teams that met in the group stage will not meet in the round of 16. There is a possibility that Kim Min-jae’s Bayern Munich and Lee Kang-in’s PSG could meet in the round of 16.

Meanwhile, the UCL round of 16 will be played home and away next February and March. The 2023-24 UCL final will be held on June 2 at Wembley Stadium in London, the “holy grail” of English soccer.
