The Los Angeles Clippers beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 128-117 in the 2023-2024 NBA regular season at the CryptoCom Arena in Los Angeles on the 17th (Korea time).

On the day, Paul George of the Clippers led his team to victory by scoring 38 points, seven rebounds, and five assists, including six three-point shots. The 38 points were the most scored in a new season in four days, surpassing the 37 points recorded in the game against Memphis on the 13th.

Notably, George dominated clutch time by scoring 18 points in the fourth quarter alone. He also stole the ball from his opponent’s ace, Shai Gilzers-Alexander, and sealed the victory with a reverse dunk.

George made six 3-pointers by making 12 3-pointers on the day, and became the 12th player in the NBA’s 3-pointer rankings. Among active players, he is sixth after Stephen Curry, James Harden, Damien Lillard, Clay Tamson and LeBron James.

George, who is building a triangle formation with Kawhi Leonard and Harden this season, is doing his part with an average of 23.6 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and a 41.8 percent success rate of 3-pointers.

If George, who is averaging 3.6 three-point shots per game this season, continues his current pace to the end of the season, he will be able to surpass the 11th-ranked Jamal Crawford and 10th-ranked Jason Terry.
